Who was your favorite pinup model? What era do you feel was the "golden age" of classic pinups and pinup girls, the 1940s or the 1950s or maybe the 1960s? Let me know! Pinup girls were often referred to as bombshells, "pin up", "pin ups" "cheesecake pinups" and by other names. My favorite vintage pinups are Julia Adams (Creature from the Black Lagoon), Marilyn Monroe, Bettie Page, Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth, Jane Russell & Jayne Mansfield.
My favorite pinup artists are Gil Elvgren, Al Moore and Alberto Vargas. These are the pinup artists that have inspired me.
